We're the largest English learning platform for the MENA region. Over the past 10 years, we've helped more than 20 million people improve their English skills. With ambitious growth targets for the next 5 years, we need someone who gets excited about the real-world impact of their work - your code will directly affect millions of learners across the region.

The Role

We're looking for a senior full-stack developer who can work across our entire tech stack and bring solid technical judgment to our team.

You'll mainly work on AI-powered features for our platform - voice agents for speaking practice, text agents for writing exercises, automated skill level tests, and similar tools. We have a solid pipeline of projects that need to be built from the ground up.

Core Stack

• Node.js and TypeScript for backend services
• Apart from Node.js we use Python for building voice-agents (livekit / 11labs).
• React and Next.js for frontend applications
• AWS + CloudFlare - infrastructure

Scale & Performance You'll be working on systems that serve millions of monthly visitors. We need someone who has built and maintained high-traffic applications and understands the architectural decisions that come with scale.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript and React/Next.js ecosystems
• Python knowledge for AI-related projects where Node.js SDKs are not available
• Proven track record of building and optimizing applications for high traffic (millions of monthly users)
• Good understanding of caching

AI Tools & Modern Development

We believe in using AI tools thoughtfully. You should be comfortable with:

• AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) - we value understanding and reviewing generated code, not just copying it
• The broader AI ecosystem: different LLMs, tools like Open WebUI, LangChain, Ollama, HuggingFace, self-hosted models, MCP. We highly value the curiosity and openness to new technologies / trends.
